Confidentiality

The trust between client and therapist is crucial to the success of the therapeutic process and I treat all information disclosed as confidential. The only exceptions to this are in line with the BACP FRAMEWORK. If there is concern that serious harm might come to you or to others, I do reserve the right to inform outside agencies, but would not do so without, wherever possible, informing you first. I do keep brief notes of our work together and every effort is made to protect your confidentiality in the compiling and storage of these records.

Supervision and Continuing Professional Development.

I receive regular supervision, in accordance with the BACP FRAMEWORK, as a way of ensuring good practice. My Supervisor is a highly qualified and experienced practitioner. Any information my supervisor receives is also treated as confidential. I also engage in a minimum of thirty hours relevant training annually and keep up to date with current research and trends.

I maintain appropriate professional insurance throughout the duration of my work with clients.
