- You may find the commitments of family leaves you with little spare time.
- Childcare may be difficult for you to arrange.
- You do not wish other members of your family to know you are seeking help.
- You may live in a remote area where there are no Counsellors are available.
- Appropriate public transport may not be available.
- Travel may not be easy due to a physical or mental disability.
Face to Face contact could be intimidating for you, so it could allow you the freedom to be more open and vulnerable. You may be in an already stressed and anxious state and cannot face leaving the security of your home. You may have had an experience which causes you to feel safer talking by phone from the comfort and safety of your own home. If you re-locate, visit others or go on holiday, counselling can continue. In these instances, all you need is a telephone and a private, uninterrupted space.
